In Malawi, pigs are a popular animal to raise.They help fertilise crops, breed with other pigs to create lots of piglets, and provide an important source of income for families when offspring are sold at market. A dozen little piglets trailing their mother is a common sight in villages. The provision of piglets to poor families, along with proper training on how to raise and care for pigs, is a sure way to improve these families’ wellbeing.
